JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Michael Jackson

The JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame is dedicated to all those individuals who have shown a history of being great in their field of industry and have been known to exhibit JerkishBehavior on a regular basis which we as fans all love and the haters love to hate. So welcome to their coronation into the JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame Inductee: Michael Jackson

The 1st inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is none other than the late King of Pop and greatest entertainer ever, Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson had the greatest range of any popular artist far as music where he made some of the greatest dance/party tracks, love songs, soulful ballads, or empowering tracks that even the hardest thug to a country bumpkin couldn't’t front the greatness of his music. Mike’s music delved into all genres from blues, soul, jazz, rock n’ roll, hip-hop, and of course pop. He went from a great child star in a group with his brothers The Jackson 5 to the greatest single entity as a solo star. Mike always wanted to top himself and always take his greatness to the next stratosphere. The critics say Mike’s albums after “Thriller” wasn’t a success, WHAT!? When you have the highest sell album in music history in Thriller with over 100 million sold (2nd closest album is 40 million) and it spends 37 weeks (almost a whole year) as the #1 album, what more could he do to top himself? He stayed consistent with his greatness and released more classic albums that sold over 30 million. One 30 million records sold album is a rare feat and career achievement where Mike had several of them. Michael Jackson touched BILLIONS of people with his music, who else can say that?

This is just his music and I haven’t even talked about his dancing…moonwalk, nuff said. There is also the “Smooth Criminal” anti-gravity lean forward move that left you in awe caused numerous people to fall flat on their face several times (myself included) when imitated. He made music videos that changed the whole landscape of the forum and music industry as the “Thriller” video. The “Thriller” changed how videos were made and opened the door for African-American artists videos to be played
on MTV, and made MTV into the huge culture staple that is today. Sidenote: “Thriller” cost $1 million to make back in 1982 and Mike paid for it out of his pocket, BANANAS!!! Michael is the greatest entertainer of all time because he didn’t care if lost money putting on a show as long as the fans had the time of their lives. He did world tours at stadiums that held 50-100,000 people where today most entertainers do concerts for 20-30,000 people. Michael Jackson was also one of the flyest cats there was when it came to dressing from the white glove, the red leather jacket and countless diamond-studded ensembles. Mike is the only cat ever to wear flooded black slacks with white socks and get away with it where no one trips on it, CRAZY!!! Michael Jackson was also a huge philanthropist and always gave a helping hand when he could to a cause. I could write all day about the happiness, creative genius, and greatness that he gave to the world and for that reason Michael Jackson is the first inductee to the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame.
