JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Deion Sanders

The JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame is dedicated to all those individuals who have shown a history of being great in their field of industry and have been known to exhibit JerkishBehavior on a regular basis which we as fans all love and the haters love to hate. So welcome to their coronation into the JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame Inductee: Deion Sanders

JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Deion Sanders

The 4th inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is none other the greatest defensive back in NFL history, Deion “Primetime” Sanders. Deion Sanders changed how the position of defensive back was played and made it a glamorous position. Deion invented the term “shut down corner” where quarterbacks refused to throw to his side because he shut down his whole side of the field never mind the receiver in which he was covering. Quarterbacks feared Deion because he had hands like a receiver so if the ball was in this vicinity he was going to intercept it and he had the best makeup speed the league has ever seen so he had incredible range that he could cover any distance. Deion Sanders was also one of the fastest players to ever play in the league with 4.2 speed so if he intercepted the ball, it’s a safe bet that it’s a touchdown the other way and say hello to “Primetime”. If “Primetime” shows up that means Deion is high stepping into the endzone and doing a touchdown dance. Deion was so fast that he would intercept a pass and start high stepping at the 50 yard line and there still would be no one in the vicinity of him or start at the 20 while the offense could still tackle him but still no one came close, what audacity of this JERK (and I loved it). Deion Sanders created the “Primetime” persona in order to gain visibility for his extraordinary talents and to be rewarded for them at the db position just as if he was a quarterback. Deion more than accomplished that with being the highest paid defensive player in the league when he signed with the Dallas Cowboys for $35 million with a $13 million signing bonus. Deion Sanders won a Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers in 1994 but didn’t feel his contributions for the championship was appreciated so he signed with their arch rival in the Dallas Cowboys and won a Super Bowl with them the following year, who does that?
Deion Sanders was so good at his position that he didn’t attend a full training camp until his 7th year in the league (that’s unheard of) and that’s only because he wanted to play wide receiver and be the only full-time player to play both sides of the ball. Deion could do it all and especially when it came to special teams where he was one of the greatest punt and kick returners there is where his 19 defensive and return touchdowns are an NFL record.

Everybody wanted to be Deion and get interceptions while high stepping into the end zone whenever playing db either in flag, touch, or tackle football. However, a lot of people forget that Deion was a phenomenal multiple sport athlete. At Florida State, he played 3 sports in football (won bowl game and finished 2nd in the nation), baseball (team went to the college World Series), and track & field (team won conference championship). “Primetime” was in full effect even as a freshman at Florida State where Deion demanded that his own poster be sold at games, what a JERK!!! Deion Sanders also played professional baseball for two of the greatest franchises ever in the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves. Deion Sanders was a good hitter and superb base stealer where he even finished 2nd in steals while playing in only 115 games (baseball season is 162 games). Deion Sanders excelled in playing both sports well while playing them at the same time and is possibly the last professional major two-sport athlete (think about it). Deion Sanders was a bad dude and one of the greatest collegiate and professional athletes of all time. Deion was one of the freshest cats in the game when it came to fashion and is infamous for the phenomenal suits that he wore. He also has this memorable quote in regards to his impeccable fashion sense in “You have to dress good in order to look good and if you look good you will feel good and if you feel good you’re going to play good.” So of course it’s a no-brainer that the 4th inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Deion “Primetime” Sanders.

5 JerkishBehavior Moments

1. In a road game at Clemson in front of a hostile crowd while waiting to return a punt, Deion Sanders told the Clemson bench that “This one is going back” and then proceeded to return the kick 76 yards for a touchdown. Of course, “Primetime” struck a pose in the end zone, who does that?
2. Deion Sanders is the only athlete to ever hit a home run and score a touchdown in the same week. He also the only player to ever play in a Super Bowl and World Series, what a JERK!!!
3. In his 1st game back to play his former team in the Atlanta Falcons as a San Francisco 49er, Deion Sanders started talking trash to his best buddy wide receiver Andre Rison that led to a fight. Oh a couple plays later, Deion got an interception and returned 93 yards for a touchdown while staring at the Falcons sideline and high stepping his way into the end zone.
4. In ’92 while playing baseball for the Atlanta Braves, Deion Sanders hit .302 and led the NL with 14 triples in only 97 games, BANANAS.
5. Deion Sanders rode around training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in a custom made Mercedes-Benz golf cart.

JerkishBehavior Top 5: Rap Mixtapes Of 2009

JerkishBehavior's Top 5: Rap Mixtapes of 2009

In the 4th installment of the JerkishBehavior Top 5 list, the topic of discussion is what were the Top 5 Rap Mixtapes of 2009? Here are JerkishBehavior's Top 5 Rap Mixtapes of 2009...

1. Drake's "So Far Gone" No explanation need, Drizzy.

2. J. Cole's "The Warm-Up" J. Cole is the flagship artist of Jay-Z's new record label Roc Nation and this was his warm-up to his debut for the world. J.Cole spits over classic instrumentals and has numerous quotables that you have to listen to multiple times in order to catch them. For example, "Lord, please let my problems disappear like Ron Mercer/I’m a star, Conversers , conversing with them girls, with them curves like cursive/They open like curtains because my shit is unheard of like curses on the radio/Same bitches used to play me though,Now they yelling" off "Grown Simba

3. Lil Wayne's "No Ceilings", fans and critics alike were wondering if Wayne could still rap and questioning his "Best Rapper Alive" moniker which led to the return of the mixtape Weezy. "No Ceilings" proves that Wayne still has it and does this rap thing when he feels like it. Once again Wayne makes you forget who the original song belongs especially on "Wasted" with lines such as "Your flow never wet, like grandma pussy/I'm always good, like grandma cookies/yeah call me the spine fixer cuz its going down like the Catalina wine mixer."

4. Wale's "Back To The Feature" is one of the sleeper mixtapes of the year but every track had a feature from some of the best lyricists in the game from Joe Budden, Bun B, Talib Kweli, Beanie Sigel and many more. Wale showed his competitive spirit and not being afraid to test his rhyme skills against the elite and Wale most definitely held his own with them all while outshining a few as well in the process. Like on "Tito Santana", Wale spits "You gon need a couple stars to get your first victor/Word picture, hurt ni**az, young verse killer/fist pleaser, skirt lifter, young Dirk Diggler/Wahlberg (Shooter), young flow fluid/and my brains travel like Yung Berg jewels Transformer."

5. Gucci Mane "The Movie Part 2" sees arguably the hottest rapper out sans Drake craft numerous bangers that you will have on constant repeat such as the hit "Beat It Up" with Trey Songz, "Presure", and "SuperHero" f/ Shawnna where Gucci spits one of his most complete verses ever with lines such as "RoboCop uzi, Bat Girl choosin Wonder Woman bracelet/ made the crowd stop booing/flint stone jewelery box same color as Wilma/you don't wanna sign the choppa but I dont wanna kill ya/ I think I lost my mojo beefin with Dr. Evil"

Reason Why I Copped: I am not a fan of blue shoes but this blue kick won me over instantly especially with the lime green shoe strings and the three diferent materials on the shoe also made these joints a must have.

JerkishBehavior Spotlight: Add-2

NEW!!! JerkishBehavior Spotlight: Add-2

The JerkishBehavior Spotlight is where we highlight regular people who submit there very own JerkishBehavior, talents, or entrepreneurial endeavor to be showcased to the world. Hello World...because I AM READY FOR MY CLOSE-UP.

JerkishBehavior: Hello world. I'm here with a very talented up and coming rapper, so go ahead and introduce yourself to the world and let them know who you are? Where you're from? What you got going on right now?

Add-2: What up! I'm Add-2 the one man duo from Chicago. Just released a new project titled "Tale Of Two's City Vol.3: The Rise & Fall" we also just released two videos from the same project. Everything has been going really good right now so I'm just remaining focused and counting my blessings.

JerkishBehavior: Your rap name is Add-2 which is original, how did you come up with that name?

Add-2: My initials are A.D.D and I'm my parents 2nd child and my father's reasoning for giving all his children the initials A.D.D is because he wanted us to always 'add to' whatever we had and to constantly grow and never take anything away. I had wrote the name on a blank mix cd and it looked cool to me then I started thinking of words to rhyme off of it, then I thought of alias' based off it and finally I wrote it on my rhymebook and its been my name ever since. But before that I had a few realllly wack names.

JerkishBehavior: How long have you been rapping and who are some of your musical influences? What rapper(s) would you compare your style of rap to? Who do think are some of the hottest MC's in the game right now?

Add-2: I have been writing since I was in junior high and some of the first rappers I would listen to were Jay-Z, Nas, Bone Thugs, DMX, Pac, Biggie and basically whatever they played on Rap City. I hate to compare myself to other rappers but the type of music I make is similar to the vibe of Common or old Kanye I guess.

Some of the hottest emcee's in my opinion are Royce Da 5'9 and the entire Slaughterhouse crew, Blu, Eminem is still a beast, Kanye and even though I may not listen to his music like that I'd say Wayne is definitely still killing.

JerkishBehavior: What sets you apart and makes your music special from the million and one other rappers in the game? What's the main message you want listeners to get from your music?

Add-2: What seperates me from the other 2 billion rappers is that I'm just a regular guy and I'm afraid to be just that. Nowadays everybody is a kingpin, a murderer or a pimp but thats not everyone's life and it doesnt add up to me. There's so much ego in rap and with rappers that I just want to be the regular, down to earth, humble person that I am. I want to be the example that you can be successful at rap without glorifying about guns, drugs, money and sex and to show them you don't have to go the same path as others who ended up in the streets and that there are alternatives besides rap. Most of my friends have either been in jail, are or have been involved with drugs, I've had family members on drugs but I heeded their warnings and stayed focused and found a way out without stumbling on the same obstacles that slowed them down.

JerkishBehavior: What's the sickest line you ever spit and why?

Add-2: I dont know I never really think too much about my lines as far as which one was the best but I would like to say one of my favorite songs I wrote was H.E.R Story. It was sick to me because I used nothing but rappers names to help tell the story of hiphop in an abstract way and it still made perfect sense. Stuff like that is sick to me cause everybody can't do that.

JERKISHBEHAVIOR 20- SECOND TIMEOUT!!!

JerkishBehavior: Whats your favorite section on your JerkishBehavior.com?

Add-2: The 5 kings of Jerkish Behavior. MJ, Denzel and JayZ are some of the most influential people in the world and as young black male growing up in these are good role models as far as staying on top of our business and changing the world.

JerkishBehavior: Whats the most jerkish thing (in the theme of JerkishBehavior.com that is) you have ever done?

Add-2: I guess it would be how I came up in the industry. I don't have a manager or PR rep, every placement I've received has been thanks to hard work, networking and God's grace. I never asked anyone to put me on or wanted their approval to say I was dope, I just did what I know best to do and thats work. I know alot of artist who are dependent on others or new artist who come in with that belief "if I had... then I'd get my name out here" when honestly you hold more power than you know and the game is not as complicated as we map it out especially at this time with the internet. I would hate to put my fate in another man's hands and I refuse to ever be in that position where they determine how far or high I go.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming....

JerkishBehavior: And you have had heavy placement on major hip-hop websites Hiphopdx.com far as your music, you being artist of the month and writing a blog for them. How has the helped your career and getting your music heard?

Add-2: It exposed me to market bigger than just chicago and that opportunity allowed people to hear my music but also my opinion on hip hop related issues. Still to this day people ask me about certain blogs I wrote such as The Sucka Emcee's blogs or the R. Kelly one or The Wackest Song EVER blog and it allowed me to bring up certain issues in hip hop culture. I wanted to create the dialogue on certain issues I couldn't put to a beat especially issues that needed more than just my voice. I'm eternally grateful to the people/staff at HHDX for that experience and taking a chance on a highly opinionated new artist. They were one of the first sites who backed me based on nothing but faith that I would become something great one day. Much appreciation to them.

JerkishBehavior: Alright fam we are at the conclusion of this interview, how can the world get a hold of some of your music and contact you? Is there anything else you would like the world to know about Add-2?

Add-2: Twitter.com/ADD2theMC or Myspace.com/add2 and make sure you check out the "Luxury" & "Starter Jacket" video and download the new mixtape!

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Alicia Keys "Element Of Freedom"

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Alicia Keys "Element Of Freedom"

I wasn’t a fan of science class just like Alicia Keys previous albums but I was instantly a fan of the new addition to the periodic table in Alicia Keys latest album “Element Of Freedom”. After hearing the first two singles “Doesn’t Mean Anything” and “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart”, I knew that this was going to be the Alicia Keys album that would win me over. “Element Of Freedom” has a perfect blend of ballads showing off Akeys singing range (the Jay-Z less “Empire State Of Mind” II), tracks that highlight her piano skills (“How Strong My Love Is”), and experimentation of new sounds that show growth in Alicia Keys as an artist (“Love Is Blind” & “This Bed”). The biggest surprise of the album is the first true club/dance banger by Alicia Keys in “Put In A Love Song” which features none other than the queen of club bangers Beyonce, WOW!!! This song if released as a video will take Alicia Keys to whole other stratosphere.

The standout tracks on this album are “Un-Thinkable” f/ Drake (Drake only sings backup vocals which is disappointing because this is the type of song that he would kill) that is a ballad you will most definitely have on repeat. “Wait Til You See My Smile” has instrumentation by a band in the background and Akeys showing off her range on this airy track. The single “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” is still my favorite song on the album for whatever reason I love this song and have to put it on repeat atleast once whenever I hear it (The video with Alicia Keys getting her X-Men on and that purple body suit has most definitely left an indelible mark on my senses). Overall, this is a great album where every song is very enjoyable and has the makings of a classic R&B album. Alicia Keys “Element of Freedom” is most definitely one of the best R&B releases of the year.

Overall 4.5/5*****

JerkishBehavior Ode: Eve "Let There Be Eve: Ruff Ryders 1st lady"

The JerkishBehavior Ode is the section where we take time out to remember classic moments, events, things, and individuals throughout history that have brought us fond memories in the past and contributed a singular moment of greatness to the masses. So here's to remembering the classic with a JerkishBehavior Ode.

JerkishBehavior Ode to Eve "Let There Be Eve: Ruff Ryder's 1st Lady"

Does anyone remember when female rappers weren’t an endangered species? Well when female rappers was in their golden era (circa ’96-01), Eve’s debut album “Let There Be Eve: Ruff Ryder’s First Lady” put the whole game on notice especially the two female heavyweights in Foxy Brown and Lil Kim. This album was a breathe of fresh air from Eve’s crazy flow with no ghostwriter, stellar top-notch Hip-Hop production, the aggressive and sensitive but untouched subject matter by a female rapper. I was totally shocked and amazed when I heard this album because it was so good and after one listen, I declared Eve the best female rapper in the game (unfortunately but neither her nor there, this Eve was never seen again after this album).

This album was classic because Eve was able to hold her own lyrically with some of the hardest dudes in the game at the time in DMX, The Lox, and Beanie Sigel while also being sensitive by touching on real issues that real females deal with such as domestic abuse, rape, and self-esteem. This album is littered with classic songs from the aggressive side was “Scenario 2000”, “We On That Shit”, “Philly,Philly” which put Philadelphia on the map and was an anthem for the city, and “Let’s Talk About” which sees Eve going bar for bar with Drag-On. The songs that really won me over was the more sensitive tracks geared toward female empowerment in “Love Is Blind”, “Gotta Man” and one of my personal favorites in “Heaven Only Knows”. My favorite song on the album is “What Ya All Want” Remix which sees Eve spitting her most memorable bars over Swizz Beats production geared towards clubbing on an exotic album. The skits was even classic who can forget the “Philly Cheese Steak” skit with the Arab and the line “No, Philly is where I From”. The illest pitbull in a skirt had a well-rounded album and was the first female rapper that didn’t use the cliché sex/materialistic songs as the main focal point of the album. Eve’s debut album will forever be a Hip-Hop classic and that’s why this JerkishBehavior Ode is to Eve’s “Let There Be Eve: Ruff Ryder’s First Lady”.

Here are 2 videos from Eve's "Let There Be Eve"

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Timbaland "Shock Value 2"

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Timbaland "Shock Value 2"

Timbaland’s “Shock Value 2” sees the departure from his usual bread & butter of strictly Hip-Hop and R&B tracks but this album delves deeply into more Pop, Techno, and Alternative sounds. This albums feel truly like it was made in Europe but I guess that’s what Timbaland was going for since according him, most of his fans are European women. Shock Value features a wide diversity of collaborations from Keri Hilson, Katy Perry, JoJo, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake and many more.

Some standout tracks are “Symphony” which features the rapping debut of Brandy (yes, that Brandy), “The One I Love” f/ Keri Hilson which is a nice uptempo track, and “Ease Off The Liquor” which is a new age techno song. The best track on the album hands down is the Hip-Hop collaboration with Drake in “Say Something” where Drake murders his verse like always spitting about how one of his former chicks should be by his side on his way to the top of the success ladder but instead he is living it up without her.

Overall, if you like listening to all kinds of music and enjoy different genres then this is the album for you. But if you’re looking for the usual Timbaland songs like“Big Pimpin”, “Rollout” and “We Need A Resolution” then this album isn’t for you and you will be disappointed. I personally like the album (probably in the minority) but I enjoy the alternative of sounds of Timbaland so “Shock Value 2” is a quality album.

Overall 3.5 out 5 *****

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Jamie Foxx

The JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame is dedicated to all those individuals who have shown a history of being great in their field of industry and have been known to exhibit JerkishBehavior on a regular basis which we as fans all love and the haters love to hate. So welcome to their coronation into the JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame Inductee: Jamie Foxx

JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Jamie Foxx

The 3rd inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is one of the most talented entertainers in the world in Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx is one of the best actors in the game, an all-time great comedian, and an awesome musician. Jamie Foxx has come a long way from his days on “In Living Color” where he played the hilarious show-stealing Wanda character. That role led him to getting his own sitcom in the “Jamie Foxx Show” which was one of the funniest and best shows on TV during the 90’s where everybody tuned in to watch it religiously and talked about it the next day at work or school. The jokes he cracked on “Braxton” were legendary and who could forget the classic Michael Jackson dance off episode. Jamie didn’t just stop at television success because he became even greater when he came to the big screen with various legendary roles. For example, “Any Given Sunday” and his steaming Willie Beamon role that is one of the best football movies ever and by far the realest. Jamie Foxx is probably at his best when he shows off his range as a serious actor and that where you witness his true greatness. No further proof than his portrayal of legendary blind musician Ray Charles where fans truly felt like they were watching Ray Charles. Jamie Foxx’s performance in “Ray” was so phenomenal that he won the Academy Award also known as “The Oscar” for best Actor. Jamie also showed off his acting chops for his role in the movie “Collateral” where he played a shy dreamer taxi cab driver and ended up standing up for himself. Jamie Foxx’s performances for both “Ray” and “Collateral” were released within 12 months of each other which is just BANANAS.

Jamie Foxx is also one of the hottest R&B artists in the game and is a hit making in the music game. Jamie Foxx has released back-to-back platinum albums in “Unpredictable” and his latest effort “Intuition” which has the infamous timeless hit “Blame It”. Jamie’s album shows off his vocal range and piano skills in which he is classically trained. Jamie is also known for his classic guest appearances like on Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” or T.I.’s “Live in the Sky”. Jamie Foxx’s greatest talent is him being one of the funniest dudes in history where he bound to say something that will have you dying no matter what he is doing because Jamie is a fool with it and no one is immune from catching the wrath of Jamie’s jokes. Hence the aptly titled “I Might Need Security” stand-up comedy routine that goes down as one of the best and funniest stand-up routines in history. Everybody remembers the LL Cool J, Mike Tyson, Prince, and Africa stories that had everybody bugging up. Jamie also has memorable moments from being the host on various awards shows such as this years BET Awards or when he hosted of The Espys. The multi-faceted greatest in the various entertainment arenas is why the 3rd inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Jamie Foxx.

5 JerkishBehavior Moments

1. Jamie Foxx won an Academy Award “Oscar” for Best Actor for his performance in “Ray” and he is one of only three African-American men to win the prestigious award (Sidney Poiter and Denzel Washington are the others).
2. Jamie Foxx is one of only two actors to ever receive two Oscar acting nominations in the same year for two different movies in “Ray” and “Collateral” (Al Pacino is the other).
3. At this years SpikeTv’s Guy Awards, Jamie Foxx was an innocent and extremely lucky bystander to having Halle Berry tonguing him down among other things, JERK!!!
4. At a roast for Emmit Smith where Jamie was the host, comedian Doug Williams made the worst decision of his career and tried to clown Jamie. Jamie Foxx proceeded to end his career with his impromptu jokes as “I’m your Conscience” during Doug Williams set, hilarious and who does that?
5. As host for the Espy’s, Jamie Foxx made a song and remix called “Can I be your tennis ball?” that showed his love and obsession for tennis star Serena Williams, just pure comedy and classic.

Jamie Foxx is a fool so don't get on his bad side, this was classic funny. Poor Doug Williams never had a chance.

Classic Jamie Foxx Show scene when Jamie & Braxton had a Michael Jackson dance off, funniest episode ever.

Mr. Shut It Down's World Flyness 101: Lesson #2 FLYNESS ETIQUETTE

Mr. Shut It Down's World Flyness 101: Lesson #2 FLYNESS ETIQUETTE

Hello planet Earth, Mr. Shut It Down is back for this week’s topic of discussion which is FLYNESS Etiquette (Do’ s and Don’ts) so let’s get to it class…..

There are some essential fashion Do’s and Don’ts that one must follow and abide by in order to be FLY..
Fashion Do’s

•Knowing Fundamentally, this is just matching but knowing what colors highlight or compliment one another is essential. You have to have a keen eye on how to put colors together.

•Being a trendsetter is necessary. When everybody is going right you go left. Standing out from the crowd adds to the impact of your Flyness. For example, you know when going to a club that almost everybody is going to be wearing a button-up so you can switch it up and where a sweater or if you know everybody is going to be rocking a tie go with a bow tie instead.

• You must always be on the lookout for things that are exclusive and next level so that you’re always several steps as your admirers then once they finally catch up you’re on to the next one. Flyness is all about being original and having exclusives is the epitomy of FLY.

• Never underestimate the power of dress rehearsing your outfit because the last thing you want come time for its debut is find out that something doesn’t match or fit so always plan a little ahead in case adjustments are needed.

• The use of accessories such as jewelry, hats, & belts adds subtlety to your Flyness that can kill the competition ever so softly.

Fashion Don’ts

•Don’t match brands just for branding sake. Just cause you have on an outfit all from the same brand doesn’t make it hot.
•Don’t wear your best outfit on some random day then when it comes time for that big event you wear some bullshit. (Excuse the language)

•Don’t wear no dust bunnies. These are dirty shoes, wrinkled kicks, or torn up sneakers to a function.

• Don’t wear or buy wack shit just to be different and standout because wack is still wack at the end of the day.

• Don’t forget to take off all tags and make sure everything is in place because you don’t want anything to take away from your outfit’s first impression that makes or breaks the outfit for the night. Don’t be so fly that you can’t be humble in case you get caught slipping.

Next time’s Topic: The Three Levels of Flyness

And I leave you with this motto to live by until next time: “I am immaculately dressed to offend your senses and its nothing personal just my FLYNESS on display.” –Mr. Shut It Down

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Snoop Dogg "Malice N Wonderland"

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Snoop Dogg "Malice N Wonderland"

Malice N Wonderland is the 10th studio album by the O.G. West Coast King Snoop Dogg. "Malice" opens up with that true classic Cali and signature West Coast sound that makes you wanna get your crip walk on (not advised, btw). "I Wanna Rock" is thumping banger and another classic added to Snoop's resume and be heard everywhere nowadays with heavy play on ESPN. "2 Minute Warning" is probably the hardest track Snoop has been on in years and "1800" is a club banger which the return of production by...wait for it, Lil Jon. Snoop proceeds lighten the modd briefly with the club-friendly "Gangsta Luv" featuring The Dream but then it's back to the gangster sounds with "Pronto" f/ Soulja Boy and the best song on the album in "That's The Homie" sees Snoop spittin about his cool O.G. status. The 2nd half features songs catering more to the ladies in typical smooth Snoop Dogg fashion with the best of the bunch being another Dream collabo in "Luv Drunk" which is soon to be a hit.

Overall, "Malice N Wonderland" is a real good album and has Snoop sounding like he is 20 years old again and waving the Cali flag high in the sky. Fans won't be disappointed with this latest album by the legend Snoop D-O-G-G, foshizzle dizzle.

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Gucci Mane "The State vs Radric Davis"

JerkishBehavior Music Review (User Submitted): Gucci Mane "The State vs Radric Davis"

This review was emailed to us by a JerkishBehavior fan and it passed our standards, so here is a music review on "The State vs Radric Davis" by Sycosis.

Gucci Mane’s first major release in several years ”The State vs Radric Davis” showed a new side to Gucci that I’m not used to seeing. One with a few Quotables, some cohesive verses, and one where you can (for the most part) understand his words and his message. As a lyricist myself I’m usually very critical of seemingly “Party” Rappers or overtly flashy/hard-core/former drug dealing artist. However I do believe there is a place for any topic and any kind of artist as long as it creatively done.

After listening to The State vs Radric Davis and then talking to a few friends about it (some of who hate Gucci, some of who are big supporters) we all came to one consensus: It seems like he was actually trying. This album wont make you become a fan if you don’t like him, and wont make you not support him if you do, but what seems to be clear is that some thought was put into the project as a whole. Perhaps the looming prison sentence may have put pressure on the label and the artist to try to leave and lasting impression for fans and new listeners once he is gone.

The very first song “Classical” made me do something I have never done before, press the rewind button on a Gucci Mane song. With a sped up flow over a dark piano melody Gucci delivers probably his best lyrical effort to date. ”Staying on point like a Unicorn strapped with a uni-bomb/every day is a work day but don’t wear uniforms/ Gucci Mane the Dapper Don, cap ya like a Capricorn/ Trappin mon going on a money-making marathon”. A bit unusual but strategic by the second track is the first of 3 hilarious Mike Epps’ skits called “Toilet Bowl Shawty” where Gucci Mane plays out conversations with a cell mate who is an exaggerated bullshitter secretly Hatin on Gucci. Other tracks like “All About The Money” fet Rick Ross,“Volume”, and “Kush In My Cologne” offer the types of tracks Gucci fans can appreciate. The album does however get commercial for a good portion with some intentional reaches for the radio with R&B laced, Plies-esque songs such as “I Think I’m In Love”, “Bad Bad Bad” fet Kiesha Cole, and“Sex In Crazy Places” fet Trina, Nicki Minaj, and Bobby V.

Overall if I were a Gucci fan I’d be satisfied with the effort and project he has put together ( and even tho I’m not I can listen to it). The track that probably won’t get as much notoriety as it should is the first introspective track I ever heard from Gucci called “Worst Enemy” where in a T.I. fashion he talks about how he knows he is responsible for what he says and does as well as briefly addresses the Jeezy beef in a peaceful way. Gucci says “The day they tried to murder me the day I can’t forget about/but I don’t wish no death on homie (Jeezy) just want him to hear me out/Think about the past and all the many things we talked about/think about all the people influenced by what comes out our mouth”. This shows he at least has thought about the message he is sending and how it can affect people, which is respectable seeing as how this is the same guy who made the word “Burrrr” into a catchphrase.

Overall: A solid 3.5 out of 5 ***** By: Sycosis and check out his Hip-Hop at michype.wordpress.com

Wanna be the next Jerk to have your review on the site and become semi-famous for a couple days then email it to us at jerkishbehavior@gmail.com

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Mariah Carey "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel"

JerkishBehavior Music Review: Mariah Carey "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel"

"Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" sees one of the greatest singers of our generation in Mariah Carey return to her classic beginnings similiar early albums "Music Box" and "Butterfly". Memoirs has a lot ballads that Mariah fans love and having been begging for along with several uptempo joints so you get the best of both worlds with this album. "Memoirs" isn't littered with features like Mariah's previous albums and there is only one in the form of the "Obsessed" Remix with Gucci Mane, so "Memoirs" is strictly an intimate affair with just Mariah.

The standout tracks on Memoirs is the slow ballad and single in "H.A.T.E.U.", "Inseparable" which has Mariah showing off her high ranging octives on this airy track, "It's A Wrap" shows her versatile singing ability and she even uses the word "acquiescent" in the song (ummm Who does that?), and my favorite track on the album in "Angels Cry" which is Mariah at her best singing a beautiful ballad.

"Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" is a classic old school female r&b album and reminds of good ol days. Mariah shows she can still take it back to her humble beginnings and with that "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" is one of the better r&b albums of the year and probably the best of the year by a female.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Scottie Pippen

The JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame is dedicated to all those individuals who have shown a history of being great in their field of industry and have been known to exhibit JerkishBehavior on a regular basis which we as fans all love and the haters love to hate. So welcome to their coronation into the JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame Inductee: Scottie Pippen

JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Scottie Pippen

The 2nd inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame, the most under appreciated great player in basketball history is Scottie Pippen. Scottie Pippen played with the greatest player ever in Michael Jordan so of course his accomplishments and greatness was always overshadowed. But Scottie’s versatility allowed Mike to be able to focus on scoring while Scottie handled most of the ball-handling and covering the oppositions best player responsibilities. The Chicago Bulls won their 1st championship against the Lakers largely in part because Scottie’s defense on Magic Johnson. Scottie Pippen was one of the best on the ball defenders ever because of his long wingspan and athletic ability where he was always one of the league leaders in steals. Scottie Pippen was known for his versatility and created the point forward position where now every player over 6-7 wants to be a point guard and bring the ball up the court. He had one of the best mid-range games there was and was known for consistently making shots off glass (Pre-Tim Duncan). Scottie was also one of the best in-game dunkers in the League where he loved posterizing big men just ask Patrick Ewing and Karl Malone. At one point, I even started patterning my basketball game more after Scottie than Jordan because he did so many things well. Needless to say, Scottie Pippen had game and wasn’t just riding Jordan’s coattails like the critics will have you to believe.

The critics forget the 93-94 season (Mike’s 1st retirement) where Scottie led the Bulls in scoring, assists, and the league in steals. He won the All-Star game MVP award and finished 3rd in the MVP voting, which he should’ve won off gp (No Jordan). Scottie Pippen also led the Bulls to the 2nd round of the playoffs against archrivals the New York Knicks. The Bulls ended up losing the series in 7 games but that’s only because of Hue Hollins in Game 5. Hue Hollins called a touch foul in the final seconds of a tied playoff game and series that led to the Knicks winning that game and series as well. My heart was broken and still ‘til this day, I hate Hue Hollins for calling a foul that should never be called in the final seconds of a game let alone a playoff game and ruining Scottie Pippen’s solo claim to greatness. The following season, Scottie Pippen lead the Bulls in every single statistical category and Michael Jordan was on that team towards the end of the year. Scottie Pippen is one of only four players in NBA history to accomplish that feat and Jordan isn’t one of them. The other thing that most people along with critics forget is that Scottie Pippen was going to win NBA Finals MVP for the Bulls 6th championship. Unfortunately, Scottie hurt his back at the start of game 6 and Michael Jordan’s 45 points and “Final Shot” happened which ended that. Nevertheless, Scottie Pippen put in work alongside and without Jordan and should be recognized as his own entity. Scottie Pippen also had some of the best/flyest basketball shoes out and made shoes with air bubbles popular. I copped a pair of Pippen’s every year they came out and my first pair of Nike’s was some Scottie’s. He was just the truth all the way around and is the best small forward to ever play the game along with being an all-time great. That’s why Scottie Pippen is the 2nd inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame.

5 JerkishBehavior Moments

1. During the 94-5 season, Scottie Pippen led the Chicago Bulls in EVERY single statistical category (points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals), Who does that?

2. Scottie Pippen rocked the brightest red shoes ever in the 1994 NBA All-Star game and ended up winning the MVP award, must’ve been the shoes. What a JERK!!!

3. Scottie Pippen is one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players ever and received this distinction while he was still actively playing.

4. Scottie Pippen dunked on one of the greatest shot blockers ever during the NBA Playoffs in Patrick Ewing so bad that he pushed him to the floor then proceeded to tell him about it. Nasty!!!

5. At the age of 42 in 2008, Scottie Pippen went on a basketball comeback tour overseas in Sweden and average 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Once a great always a great!!!
