JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Michael Phelps

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame Inductee: Michael Phelps

The newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is the greatest Olympic athlete’s and swimmer of all-time in Michael Phelps. I am not a fan of swimming but I am a fan of legendary greatness so when someone the likes of Michael Phelps comes along, I take notice just like the rest of the world. Michael Phelps has won the most career gold medals ever with 14 and broke the record 36 year old record held by Mark Spitz with 7 for most Olympic gold medals ever won in one Olympic by winning 8. Michael Phelps motivation for accomplishing was not only for history but to prove the doubters wrong that said it couldn’t be done mainly Phelp’s idol in Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe. Michael Phelps kept and looked at the press clippings in his locker every day of Thorpe’s claim that the feat was highly unlikely to be accomplished. The critics’ will never learned that you should never give legends any added motivation to be great. Michael Phelps not only won a record 8 gold medals at one Olympics but he also set world records in all 8 events, BANANAS!!! Michael Phelps has the 2nd most Olympic medals of all-time with 16 (gymnast Larissa Latynina is 1st with 18 total medals) and I am sure he will own the top spot come the 2012 Olympics just by showing up because what’s three medals to a man who has 8 in one Olympics, NOTHING. Michael Phelps owns 54 career medals from multiple swimming competitions. Michael Phelps is 5-time World Swimmer of the Year award winner while also being a 7-time American Swimmer of the Year award winner as well. Michael Phelps also won the coveted Sports illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 2008 for record-breaking Olympic performance. That’s the short and sweet of why Michaels Phelps is the greatest Olympic athlete and swimmer of all-time while not even reaching his prime yet because he is still only 24 years old, CRAZY!!! So without further ado, the newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Michael Phelps.

5 JerkishBehavior Moments

1. Michael Phelps broke the once thought as unbreakable record by Mark Spitz’s of seven Olympic gold-medals in one Olympic which stood for 36 years by winning EIGHT Olympic gold medals at 2008 Olympics in Beijing, who does that?
2. Michael Phelps has broken 37 world records in swimming and the 70’s legendary swimmer Mark Spitz is 2nd with only 33, JERK!!!
3. At the age of 15, Michael Phelps became the youngest man ever to set world swimming record with his performance in the 200 meter butterfly event.
4. Michael Phelps has a street named in him in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland called Michael Phelps Way.
5. Michael Phelps has won the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award three times.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Usain Bolt

JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Usain Bolt

The newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is the fastest human to ever run on the face of the earth and that’s none other than Usain Bolt. One of the most prestigious and exclusive athletic titles in the world is “Fastest Man In the Planet” which determined by whoever is the world champion in the 100 meter dash in Track & Field. This title is what makes Track & Field so exciting but not since Michael Johnson and Maurice Greene in the mid 90’s has there been an undisputed fastest man in the world while also being steroids or performance enhancing drug-free. Fast forward to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and insert Usain Bolt where he officially put Track & Field back on the map. In 100 meter dash final. Usain Bolt made the fastest men in the world look slow by not only winning the gold medal but also by shattering the world record in the event with a blazing 9.69 seconds (previous unofficial world record was 9.77 by Justin Gaitlin in 2006 and official world record of 9.79 by Maurice Greene in 1996). That’s not even the most remarkable part which is he literally logged the last quarter length of the race celebrating and his shoes was untied, UNFUCKINBELIEVABLE!!! Usain’s performance in this race literally dropped the jaws of every spectator who watched because what he did had never been seen before (oh by the way, this was only his 5th time ever running in the 100 meter dash). Just think what he would’ve done if he ran full speed the entire way and some researchers have said would’ve been in 9.5 seconds range. Normally, you only have only legendary moment like this in your athletic career but Usain Bolt was far from done making history. Fast-forward to the 200-meter dash final where Usain Bolt won another gold medal but broke the world and Olympic record for the event with a time of 19.30 that stood for 13 years (Michael Johnson ran a 19.32 in 1996 Olympics). Usain Bolt became the first sprinter to hold the world record in both sprint events since 1971 and the first ever to break broke both world records in the same Olympics. Usain also ran a leg for the 4x100 relay race and his Jamaica team won the gold while breaking the world record in the event as well. That’s three world records broken in one Olympics folks and Usain Bolt is the crown holder of them, WOW!!! Usain Bolt would have been the star of the whole Olympics if it wasn’t for a guy by the named of Michael Phelps who is the only person to put Usain Bolt in a position of 2nd best.

Following the Olympics, the critics were wondering if Usain was just a flash in the pants because his number #1 competition, Asafa Powell from Jamaica as well, was closing in on his record by running a 9.72 seconds in the 100 meter dash. So for the last race of the 2008 season, Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell faced off which saw Bolt not only win by 0.06 over Powell but he also overcame the slowest start of all 9 competitors while having to overcome the cold conditions and a 0.9 headwind so basically he gave the competitors a head start and still beat them by a good distance. Usain Bolt’s title as the fastest man on the planet was firmly solidified. A legend never stops making history and neither was Usain Bolt. At 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Usain Bolt shattered his own unfathomable world record in both the 100 and 200-meter dash by running a 9.58 and 19.19 respectively. The .011 improvements in the breaking of his own world recorder was the largest margin of improvement in the history of the sport. Usain Bolt has accomplished things that you couldn’t dream of in your wildest dreams and makes it look easy because Olympic world records aren’t supposed to be broken the easily and repeatedly and most definitely not by the same individual but that’s the legend known as Usain Bolt. Usain Bolt said he would now turn his attention to the world records in the 400-meter dash and the long jump. So as the world’s fastest man ever and multiple world-record holder, the newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Usain Bolt.

5 JerkishBehavior Moments

1. Usain Bolt won the gold medal and shattered the world record for the 100 meter dash in the 2008 Olympics by 0.8 seconds with a time of 9.69 while jogging the last quarter leg while celebrating and did this all with his shoes untied, who does that?
2. At the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Usain Bolt shattered his own world-records in the 100 and 200-meter race by running the fastest times ever known to man with a 9.58 and 19.19 seconds respectively. The .011 faster times were the largest improvement ever in a world record and he accomplished this feat less than a year after his incredible Olympic performance, JERK!!!
3. Usain Bolt’s home country of Jamaica will be naming the highway after him because of his incredible Olympic world record feats.
4. At the end of the 2009 World Championships, the mayor of Berlin gave Usain Bolt a three ton 12-foot high section of the Berlin Wall saying that “Usain has shown that one can tear down walls that had been considered insurmountable”, SPEECHLESS!!!
5. In 2009, Usain Bolt won the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for record-breaking sprinting accomplishments.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Barry Sanders

JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Barry Sanders

The newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is one of the greatest football players and arguably thee best running back of all-time in Barry Sanders. Growing up, my favorite running back was Emmit Smith and my cousin’s was Barry Sanders and he used always tell me that Emmit had a Hall of Fame offensive line and players around him while Barry Sanders did it all by himself. As the years have gone by and my appreciation of individual greatness having grown greatly, my cousin was right in that Barry Sanders was arguably thee best running back ever sans Walter Payton. This is about Barry Sanders who was a legend the moment he stepped foot in the backfield. In high school, Barry didn’t play running back until the 4th game of his senior year but in the last 7 games rushed for 1,322 yards and made the All-State team, BANANAS!!! During his lone season as a starter in his junior year at Oklahoma State, Barry Sanders had the greatest season in college football history by many experts. Listen to these UNFUCKINBELIEVABLE stats, Barry Sanders had 7.6 yards per carry average (4.0 would be out of this world) and averaged 200 yards a game including rushing for over 300 yards in 4 games. Barry Sanders set college football records with 2,628 rushing yards, 37 rushing touchdowns, 5 consecutive 200 yard rushing games (one 200-yard rushing game in a career is a great accomplishment), and scored at least 2 touchdowns in 11 consecutive games. For an encore to end his career in the Holiday Bowl, Barry Sanders had 222 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns in only THREE quarters, who does that? Needless to say, Barry Sanders won the Heisman Trophy that year as the best player in college football. Barry Sanders set 34 NCAA records during this season and is the 2nd best college football player of all-time according to ESPN.

Barry Sanders continued blazing his legendary trail as the greatest once he entered the NFL for the Detroit Lions. Barry finished 2nd in the entire league in rushing and touchdowns as a rookie and won Rookie of the Year. Barry continued to improve his ridiculous numbers every year including NFL records of 5 1,500 yards rushing seasons, 25 games of 150 yards or more rushing, and 15 touchdown runs of 50 yards or more. Barry Sanders lowest season rushing total was 1,115 yards which is some running backs career best. Barry Sanders career best rushing season came in 1997 when obtained the Holy Grail for running backs and had a 2,000 yard rushing season which has only been accomplished three times in NFL history and he won MVP as the games best player that year as well. Barry Sanders won the rushing title 4 times and came in 2nd three other times. Barry Sanders was selected to the Pro Bowl (football’s All-Star team) for his entire 10-year career and won Offensive Player of the year twice. These numbers are even more incredible considering Barry Sanders was only 5’8 which is rare since most successful running backs are at least 5’10 to 6’0. Barry Sanders showed that greatness can come in any size and broke the mold. Barry Sanders was so unstoppable because his height in that he was so low to the ground that he was impossible to catch and see along with the possessing an infamous spin move and the greatest juke moves the world has ever seen (Reggie Bush and Adrian Peterson combined had nothing on Barry just ask #42 of the New England Patriots who shall remain nameless) which has led to many broke ankles of opposing defenders. Barry Sanders was in greater than his numbers in that he was probably the most humble athlete ever. Barry Sanders never celebrated his touchdowns or unbelievable flashy moves but just handed the ball to referee and went back to the huddle. Barry Sanders never wanted to bring attention to his play and only cared about winning. Unfortunately, Barry Sanders never came close to winning a championship because of a week supporting cast but he will always be considered a winner to everyone. Sidebar: Barry Sanders had the rawest non-cleat turf shoes ever in the Nike Zoom Turf Training with straps. As arguably the greatest running back ever to do it, the newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Barry Sanders.

5 JerkishBehavior Moments

1. Barry Sanders abruptly retired from the game of football at the top of his game and was within his normal season average of 1,400 yards from breaking the all-time rushing record held by Walter Payton. Barry Sanders retired because he was tired of losing and felt like his team wouldn’t get any better anytime but instead of being disloyal to his franchise he retired instead, WOW, who does that?

2. In 1997, Barry Sanders rushed for only the 3rd ever 2,000 yard season and ran off a NFL record 14 consecutive 100 yard games including two 200 yard rushing games while en route to his lone MVP trophy. Oh by the way, Barry Sanders only had 53 yards rushing after the first 2 games, JERK!!!

3. During his rookie year, Barry Sanders was 10 yards away from his 1st rushing title but declined to go back into the game because he didn’t care about that kind of stuff, UNHEARD OF!!!

4. The most infamous Barry Sanders run was when he made #42 for the New England Patriots at the time literally do a 360 from his juke move and #42 after the game sweared there was two of him on that play.

5. Barry Sanders is only the 2nd player ever to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame while still in his 30’s (Gale Sayers is the other.), CRAZY.

Mr Shut It Down's World: Race To 365...#7.

The Race to 365 is a friendly competition between boys to see who can get to 365 pairs of shoes 1st and here's my personal trek to 365. So what pair made it to #7 on the list?

7. Nike DT Max '96

Background: These Nikes are also known as the "Deions" in Deion Sanders who wore this kicks as his turf shoes as the best defensive back in the NFL. The Deion's were the hottest football kicks out and Deion made rocking football shoes fly.

Reason Why I Copped: Deion Sanders is one of my football players of all-time and I love the red in the shoe which looks like tiger stripes or like peeled paint. The most popular colorway of this shoe is the white/black version so I had to go and get the least popular/rarer of the colorways. There is a goal post on the tongue to show these are football kicks plus you can never go wrong with a kick that features a strap and air bubble, #imjustsayin.

Date Copped: 11/03/09

7 down and 358 to go...Stay tuned until next time to see what will make KB8 the Great on the list?

Mr Shut It Down's World: My Philosophy On Freestyling

Hello world, today I, Mr. Shut It Down, will be discussing My Philosophy on Freestyling. Freestyling is one of the biggest elements of Hip-Hop that proves to your peers and fans that you can actually rap. Freestyling is also a fan favorite that can be an instant crowd pleaser and get people hype to hear what you have to say. The biggest concern of most freestyle rhymes is whether it was a written rhyme or an actual spur of the moment lyrical gem. In most circles, if you truly freestyled a rhyme you get more props and respect for the bars that you spit but if wrote those same bars then its automatically deemed as wack. So my philosophy on freestyling is as long as what you say is tight and makes me say WOW, you will earn my respect as a fan. So I don’t care if the bars was off the top of the dome or written, great lyrics is great lyrics because I have heard true freestyles that was utterly garbage (maybe you should’ve written yours) and writtens that make you push the rewind button. So My Philosophy on Freestyling is plain and simple just spit hot fire like Dylan, Dylan, Dylan and you will get the JerkishBehavior nod of approval.

JerkishBehavior Examples Of Classic Freestyles:

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Allen Iverson

JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Allen “The Answer” Iverson

The newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is the greatest small scoring guard and under 6 feet player in basketball history which is none other than Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers. The first time I heard of Allen Iverson when I was in grammar school and I thought his name was Ivan Iverson and wasn’t that big of a fan. Nevertheless, I knew he was a beast at Georgetown University and was dunking on cats like crazy and outing a lot of big men on his poster. Iverson was also rocking the greatest shoe of all-time in the patent leather Jordan XI’s and on the cover of SLAM magazine so I knew he was a kinda like a big deal. I was finally converted into an official Allen Iverson fan after his performance during the All-Star Weekend Rookie game where the whole league questioned if he would even pass the ball and if he could play the point guard position. Well, Iverson most definitely gave everyone “The Answer” when he won MVP honors while scoring 19 points and handed out 9 assists and was clearly the best player on the court. Allen Iverson proved the critics wrong and went on to have an incredible rookie and ended up winning Rookie of the Year. Allen Iverson became a fan favorite instantly. Allen Iverson’s game was something to behold from the ankle-breaking unstoppable crossover, mid-range jumpers, floaters, relentless drives and underhand scoop shots that always went over the outstretched big man’s grasp which made him a dominant scorer which lead to him winning 4 NBA scoring titles. I always thought I was going to be 6’6 like Mike but unfortunately for me that never happened so I like many other 6’0 and under players patterned their game after A.I. because his game was “The Answer” for us. I remember many days in the gym practicing his crossover or shooting arching off the glass scoop shots over the imaginary big man. Allen Iverson was most definitely the man to be emulated and changed the game in the post-Jordan era.

Allen Iverson became a cultural icon from everybody wanted to get braids, tattoos, wear throwbacks with a do-rag under the fitted, and even made Reebok one of the hottest sneaker brands on the market (I, a renowned Nike head, even purchased a pair of all black Answer III’s that I hooped and kicked it at the club in). A.I. had some of the tightest shoe commercials as well like who can forget the one where he did the spin move while the ball never switched sides. This move was so next level and a thing of beauty and I remember vividly the next day after the commercial released at basketball practice, the whole team was talking about the commercial and spent hours trying to do the new Iverson crossover. Allen Iverson was so much a game-changer off the court that even the NBA created a dress code mainly because of him and the mere sight of seeing A.I. in a suit was a phenomenon in itself. There’s also the infamous “practice, we talking about practice, not a game but practice” interview that the critics will never let him live down. If Iverson was averaging 30 points a game without practicing just think of the numbers he would’ve put up if he actually practiced, the league didn’t want those kind of problems. Allen Iverson was a supernova on the court because he led a team of one-dimensional talents to the playoffs every year while handling the entire scoring and assist load. Allen Iverson always rose his game in all areas to next level in the playoffs such as his playoff record 10 steals in one game, BANANAS. And who can forget the unbelievably ridiculous season he had in 2001 where he won both All-Star Game MVP and NBA MVP as the best player in the world and led the 76ers to the best record in the league. Allen Iverson faced the hardest road ever to reach the NBA Finals where he faced off against all-time greats in Reggie Miller, Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Sam Cassell then Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal for the championship. Allen Iverson won every single battle but didn’t have enough help to win the championship but he still left an indeliable mark on history with his game 1 performance versus the Lakers. Allen Iverson scored 48 points and lead the 76ers to their lone victory but the memorable play was went he drove baseline then crossed back against Tyronn Lue then hit jumper in his face in crunch time as Lue fell to the ground, Iverson stared at him as he defiantly stepped over him to get back on defense. Allen Iverson was a one-man wrecking crew and as he known famously quoted as saying “he plays every game like its his last” and he most definitely did that without question. The critics will say that Iverson is a ball hog and never passed but he had to score a bunch of points for his teams to win but failed to realize he averaged atleast 6 assists a game that is darn good for a perennial 30 point scorer throughout his career. A.I. is one of a kind player who has the 5th all-time career scoring average in NBA history and considering how everyone higher on the list was at least 6 inches taller makes the feat even more legendary. So without further ado, the newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Allen “The Answer” Iverson.

5 JerkishBehavior Moments:

1. Allen Iverson is the only player in history to embarrass the incomparable Michael Jordan by not only crossing him over once but twice for good measure and he did this as a rookie in the league, so disrespectful, what a JERK!!!
2. Allen Iverson’s infamous crossover strikes again when he does the unthinkable and makes Antonio Daniels fall not once but twice on the same play, UNFUCKINBELIEVABLE, who does that?
3. Allen Iverson is the only rookie ever to score 40 or more points in 4 consecutive games.
4. Allen Iverson had the greatest tip dunk ever when he climb the back of 7-foot shot blocker Marcus Camby, CRAZY!!!
5. Allen Iverson hit the game-winning shot versus Germany in the 2004 Olympics and oh did I forget to mention it was from half court, RIDICULOUS!!!
