Jerkishbehavior Ode to: Dajuan Wagner
JerkishBehavior Ode to Dajuan Wagner
This is a JerkishBehavior Ode to high school basketball legend Dajuan Wagner. I heard about Dajuan Wagner for the 1st time in SLAM magazine where they had an article on him being the chosen one as one of the best high school players in the country and possibly the next Allen Iverson but bigger. Dajuan Wagner was a scoring machine who had range out to 30 feet, an insane mid-range game, and could drive the lane with the best of them. The moment I became a die-hard fan is when I heard Dajuan Wagner pulled off the Holy Grail of scoring binges and scored 100 points in a high school game. The next day, I remember the story making it to the Chicago newspaper and he had on an Avirex leather jacket (which was a must have like Jordan’s back in the day) in the article that showed he was the truth off the court as well. Dajuan Wagner averaged 42.5 points a game as a senior and scored 50 or more points in 9 games while on his way to broking the New Jersey state scoring record for most points in a career with 3.462 points. Dajuan Wagner made the coveted McDonald’s All-American Game where he scored a game high 25 points and could have rode that momentum straight to the NBA but decided to go to college at Memphis University. Juanny was a scoring machine once he stepped on his college campus as well. Juanny made the transition look easy and continued unleash long-range jumpers nothing but net and get to the hole with ease. Whenever Juanny played on national television, I made sure I recorded it in order to keep it for my collection and study his moves. Dajuan Wagner averaged 21 points a game during his lone year in college year in college including scoring 20 points or more in 22 games. Juanny didn’t lead his team to the NCAA tournament and had to settle for the NIT (the tournament that is for all the teams who didn’t make the NCAA one and have a .500 record) but he most definitely made it his show. Juanny increased his scoring average to 21 points and led his Memphis Tigers to a NIT title while being named the MVP of the whole tournament. Dajuan Wagner showed he could score on the college and was ready for new challenges and left for the NBA after his freshmen year and got drafted 6th overall by the Cleveland Cavs. Juanny was seen as the potential next star of the league and even had his own ESPN “The Life” episode which showed him working out with legendary trainer Tim Grover (he was Michael Jordan’s personal trainer) in preparation for his rookie season. Dajuan Wagner was the truth to me so much so that I bought and paid full price for his authentic white #2 jersey with the Cavs (which I still have today and was unheard for me to pay full price but Juanny was the boy.) which was extra exclusive. During Juanny’s rookie campaign, he did what he does best and made scoring the basketball look easy and show that he was a natural at doing it. Juanny averaged 14 pts a game as a rookie but had a 7 game span where he averaged 25 points a game, he scored 20 points in 11 games, and had arguably his best game of his career at Madison Square Garden in New York aka “The Mecca of Basketball” with 25 points and 10 assists. Unfortunately, Juanny’s rookie season was cut short due to injuries. Dajuan Wagner’s 2nd season in the NBA was supposed to be the beginning of the Lebron & Juanny tag team duo but once again injuries struck again and this dynamic duo never materialized. Dajuan Wagner had a life threatening bladder infection and had to end up getting his entire colon removed. Juanny was seen as a health risk and hasn’t been able to get back into the league but continues to play professionally overseas and continues to try to get back to the NBA. Dajuan Wagner was a natural born scorer and could get buckets in his sleep at any level of play. So this JerkishBehavior Ode is to one of the greatest scoring machines of all time in Dajuan Wagner.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Barry Bonds
JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Barry Bonds
The newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is one of the most hated and controversial athlete’s in history, Barry Bonds. Barry Bonds is one of the greatest baseball players if not thee best to ever play the game. Barry Bonds was a five-tool player who could hit for power, hit for average, steal bases, gold glove defense along with gold glove arm. Barry Bonds is the greatest home run hitter ever in baseball history by owning thee most hallowed record in baseball, career and single season home run leader (762 and 73). During his days with the San Francisco Giants, Barry Bonds was the most feared hitter in baseball where teams would rather walk him 3-4 times a game rather than give him an opportunity to hit a home run. Barry Bonds was such a bad dude that he had more walks than whole teams combined and one of five players in baseball history to ever get an intentional walk with the bases loaded, BANANAS!!! Barry Bonds was a home run hitting machine where he was hitting a home run at a ridiculous rate of one out of every eight at bats. Lost in the home run hype is the fact Bonds was a great hitter and won several batting titles for highest batting average in the National League while being the home run king. Bonds is one the few players in baseball history to have more home runs than strikeouts in a season so he had insane eye for the ball. From 2001-2004, Barry Bonds put up some of the gaudiest numbers baseball has ever seen where he consistently improved on the best season ever year after year so much so that he won a ridiculously insane 4 consecutive MVP awards (fyi, Bonds has a record seven and 2nd all-time is three).
Barry Bonds is one of the most hated athletes’ in history because he never played nice with the media in that he always spoke his mind, did what he wanted, and never stuck to the politically correct athlete status quo. Barry Bonds has never tested positive for using steroids but the haters have already condemn him as guilty and would have you believe he doesn’t belong in the Hall of Fame. However before steroids was even an issue, Barry Bonds was a 1st ballot Hall of Famer before he even played for the Giants from his days with the Pittsburgh Pirates where he won the National League MVP Award twice, three gold gloves for his defense in the outfield, and led his team to three NL East championship. It’s a shame that he wont get the credit he deserves for being one of the best to ever do it because of his personality and steroids issue by mass media and the general public but a wise man once said “Men lie, women lie, but numbers don’t”. So for his utterly ridiculous numbers, the newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Barry Bonds.
5 JerkishBehavior Moments
1. Barry Bonds is baseball’s all-time (762) and single season (73) home runs leader.
2. Barry Bonds is one of only four players in baseball history in the ultra exclusive 40/40 club which is hitting 40 home runs and stealing 40 bases in a season. Barry Bonds is lone member of the 500/500 club.
3. In 2005, The Sporting News ranked Barry Bonds as #6 on the list of best baseball player in its history (which has over 140 years of history) and of the players listed ahead of him, Bonds is the only player to have played post 1970’s, JERK!!!
4. Barry Bonds holds over 20 major league records that will stand for decades to come and is 2nd all-time in a couple of categories as well.
5. The MLB has a licensing agreement for marketing of its players and Barry Bonds is the first player in history not to sign it because he felt his independent deals would be more lucrative, WOW, who does that?

JerkishBehavior (User Submitted) Movie Review: "Avatar"
JerkishBehavior (User Submitted) Movie Review: Avatar
This review was emailed to us by a JerkishBehavior fan and it passed our standards, so here is a movie review on "Avatar" by Dani Morrison
Set in the future, in a world where humans are not only able to travel to other universes but also able to implant their minds into other creatures, and find yourself in Avatar. The classic conflict of race, power, and superiority takes form on an alien planet where the colonialism and manifest destiny of times past is replayed once again. The Avatar is a bridge between humans and the people who live in this primal and yet futuristic jungle. Employed as a means to facilitate negotiations between the company that was to overtake a key portion of the planet for monetary gain and the indigenous people, the Avatar is a new take on the classic mole.
Jake Sulley (Sam Worthington), an ex-marine who is offered the position of the new Avatar after the death of his brother, enters this role and world with the mentality and prejudices of his superiors and begins to learn to appreciate the natives of this distant planet as a result of Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver) and Neytiri who is the daughter of the clan leader and spiritual advisor (Zoe Saldana). Although his progression from loyal sheep to his own people and betrayed friend to that of the natives is foreseen, the manner and style of his progression is worth watching.
Key to the movie is Cameron’s ability to bring the viewer into this world and make us feel for the characters. Though several of the premises are derivative, this imaginative world that Cameron takes us into is truly beautiful. The classic conflicts that are replayed serve as a bridge for the viewer and the solid acting of the main characters cement a relationship that truly makes gives viewers a vested interest in the story.
The movie is clearly character and plot driven, however, an excellent action sequence ends the movie. I would have liked a greater amount of action dispersed throughout the film, however, this is my only main criticism. Overall, I think Cameron created a world fraught with meaning and vitality, and the characters were engaging as well as endearing.

Mr. Shut It Down's World: Race to 365...#6
The Race to 365 is a friendly competition between boys to see who can get to 365 pairs of shoes 1st and here's my personal trek to 365. So what pair made it to #6 on the list?
6. Clae Russell Wool
Background: These are pair of Claes which is an up and coming shoe company which are the flyest for people in the know. The "Russell" is the most popular style from the brand but this one changes the game up with the use a different and new material.
Reason Why I Copped: Grey and Wool? Nuff Said. Grey is my favorite color and when was the last time you saw a fly kicks that was predominantly wool, never. So this was a no-brainer to add to the collection which can be worn for any occasion.
Date Copped: 11/02/09
6 and 359 more to go...Stay tuned until next time to see what will make Mike Vick on the list?
JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Brett Favre
JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame Inductee: Brett Favre
The newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is arguably the greatest quarterback of all time in Brett Favre. As a Chicago Bears fan, it is forbidden to like anyone from the arch rival Green Bay Packers but all that hate made me appreciate the greatness that is Brett Favre and he became of one of my favorite quarterbacks of all-time as well. Brett Favre thoroughly decimated and had his way with the Bears whenever he played him and even if it was a close game, you just knew Favre was going to come threw and pull out the victory while ripping your heart out in the process which usually happened on a regular. Brett Favre is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time because he has one of the strongest arms ever where he can throw it in tight spots where others can’t. Favre’s passes have jammed and broken many of his wide receivers hands because he throws the ball so hard. Brett Favre has some of the greatest improvisational skills where he has created passes when the conventional pass wasn’t available such the shovel pass, underhand pass, or flip pass all of which Favre has thrown for touchdowns. Brett Favre brought excitement to the quarterback position in that he would run full speed to go celebrate with his teammates in the endzone after a touchdown and sometimes even tackled them. Brett Favre would jump fake like he was passing the ball whenever he handing the ball off to the running back because he was bored. No one ever took Favre’s playful nature as him being soft because he is one of the toughest SOB’s to put on the cleats and had no problem talking shit while getting in the opposing defensive players faces. Brett Favre is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks ever because of what of his competitive greatness of how he rises to the occasion when the game is on the line. Favre is the most feared man in football with the game on the line because no matter the odds he going to find a way to lead his team to victory. Brett Favre has led his team to victory with 42 game winning drives which is 2nd all-time (John Elway is 1st with 47). Brett Favre led the Packers to back-to-back Super Bowl berths while winning one Lombardi trophy (the name of the Super Bowl trophy). So not does Brett Favre have the wins to back up his greatness but also the stats where he virtually every major passing record in NFL history. Favre is one of only 4 quarterbacks to ever lead the league touchdowns four times and one of only 3 quarterbacks to beat all 31 teams in the NFL. Brett Favre owns the record for the most consecutive starts by any player in NFL history that shows the longevity of his legendary legacy. Brett Favre is a god in Green Bay and in football period, which saw him become the only player in NFL history to win 3 consecutive MVP awards. So as the greatest the quarterback of all time, the newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Brett Favre.
5 JerkishBehavior Moments:
1. The day after his father died in 2003, Brett Favre played on Monday Night Football versus the Oakland Raiders and put on an awe inspiring performance by throwing for 399 yards and 4 touchdowns all in the first half, BANANAS, and won an ESPY for his performance in honor of his dad.
2. In 2007, Brett Favre broke 4 NFL records with most win by quarterback, most career touchdowns, 63 games of at least 3 touchdowns, and has a victory against every team in the NFL while even having a game with 20 consecutive completions. Brett Favre owns 11 NFL records including most passing yards and completions.
3. In his 1st home game with the Minnesota Vikings with his need a touchdown to win, Brett Favre threw the game winning 32 yard touchdown pass with 2 seconds left to Greg Lewis in the back of the end zone for unbelievable comeback win, JERK!!!
4. Brett Favre started off as the 7th string quarterback for Southern Mississippi and by the 3rd game was the starter and led his team to come from behind victory while suffering a hangover from a night of partying, who does that?
5. Brett Favre is the only player ever to pass for 3,000 yards in a season for 14 years in a row.

JerkishBehavior's Top 5: Women of the 90's
In the latest installment of the JerkishBehavior Top 5 list, the topic of discussion is who were the Top 5 Women of the 90's? Here are JerkishBehavior's Top 5 Women of the 90's and we still love you all...
1. Halle Berry, the female movie star of the decade which also lead to an Oscar win as Best Actress for her performance in "Monster's Ball". Every man, boy, and child was in love with Ms. Berry because she was the first chick to rock the short hairdo and still look fineeeeeee. Halle Berry is still the Queen of the short hair along with any other style she chooses and that's why Halle Berry is JerkishBehavior's #1 Female of the 90's. Damn you, David Justice and Eric Benet.
2. Vivaca A. Fox, the double threat from having starring roles in classic movies ("Set It Off "& "Independence Day") and have memorable cameos on TV ("The Jamie Foxx Show"). Vivaca Fox was my all-time favorite chick of the 90's and I wanted to marry her because she was hood and classy all at the same time while being thicker than a snicker. Damn you, 50.
3. Nia Long, was a TV and Movie star from Love Jones, Boyz In Da Hood, and of course The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Nia Long was another female who could rock any hairstyle and still look drop dead gorgeous. Nia Long was the fantasy girl for males of all ages because she was so cute and sexy. Damn you, Larenz Tate.
4. Stacey Dash, is the only reason why cats in the hood watched "Clueless" the movie and series on a regular basis. Stacey Dash is like a fine expensive bottle of wine that only gets better with time such as her classic and unforgettable cameo in Kanye's "All Falls Down" video and we still love you Ms. Dash. Damn you, King.
5. Nicole Ari Parker, made the classic "Soul Food" into a long-standing and hit TV series because she was just badddddd, plain and simple. Nicole Ari Parker is just so sophisticated and classy that men are still lined up to put a ring on it. Damn you, Boris Khojoe.

JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame: Randy Moss
The JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame is dedicated to all those individuals who have shown a history of being great in their field of industry and have been known to exhibit JerkishBehavior on a regular basis which we as fans all love and the haters love to hate. So welcome to their coronation into the JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame.
JerkishBehavior Hall Of Fame Inductee: Randy Moss
JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame Inductee: Randy Moss
The newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is one of the greatest and most feared wide receivers in NFL history in Randy Moss. I remember when Randy Moss was terrorizing defenses when he was at Marshall University and I was amazed at how easy he made it look. Randy Moss’s college numbers were just mind-boggling like 78 catches for 1,708 yards with 29 touchdowns (as a FRESHMEN and are all Division 1-AA records) and Division 1-AA National Championship. For a sophomore season encore as Marshall moved up to Division 1-A, how about 96 catches for 1,820 yards with 26 touchdowns while becoming a 1st team All American and finishing 4th in the Heisman trophy voting which is just BANANAS considering he played for Marshall. The following year in 1998, Randy Moss of course left for the NFL and my hometown Chicago Bears in dire need of a wide receiver had the 5th pick in the draft. I just knew we was going to draft him but unfortunately along with 20 other teams we decided to pass up on one of the greatest wide receiver talents in the draft (As we speak, The Bears are still looking for a star receiver til this day.). This snubbing just fueled the fire of Randy Moss and he went onto have the one of the greatest rookie seasons ever by a wide receiver. Randy Moss scored an NFL rookie record 17 touchdowns on 1,313 yards receiving and he made the two biggest snubs in the Dallas Cowboys (3 catches for 163 yards with 3 TD’s) and Chicago Bears (8 catches for 106 yards with 3 TD’s) pay dearly and regret their mistake. Randy Moss also led the Minnesota Vikings to a 15-1 record and was one game from the Super Bowl but Gary Anderson who made every single field goal that year but missed thee most important one that would’ve sent Moss and the Vikings to the championship game (The 2nd biggest heartbreak I’ve experienced as a football fan).
Randy Moss continued to improve on his rookie year performance and dominate the league with breath-taking catches, one handed grabs, leaping ability, ridiculous speed and acrobatic touchdown catches. Randy Moss is one of the few wide receivers ever where defenses dedicated an active double even triple team to defend against him as a deep touchdown threat. Moss still found a way to beat them and I remember one time where there was three guys protecting the end zone and he was at least 20 yards away from them and he somehow outran all three of them and caught a touchdown, unfathomable. Randy Moss is a threat just by being on the field which allows the opposite side receiver to get solo coverage and have monster games and season as well so defenses had to pick their poison. Randy Moss has caught flak from critics for some of his off-field comments like when he said “I play when I want and take some plays off” but I’m pretty sure defenses appreciate Moss for not going hard at embarrassing db’s all the time because if he did you could expect some video game numbers. In 2005, Randy got exiled to the Oakland Raiders and most observers say he fell off but he still put up a 1,000-yard and double-digit touchdown season while being injured. In 2007, Randy Moss got traded to the New England Patriots and the critics were out again and said he was washed up and no longer a premier wide receiver in the league (tisk tisk when will critics ever learn, never challenge greatness). Randy Moss proceeded to have another record-breaking season by breaking Jerry Rice’s record for most touchdowns in a season by catching 23 TD’s along with 1,493 yards receiving. You’re beyond great when you break a record once held by thee greatest wide receiver ever in Jerry Rice. Randy Moss also led to the Patriots to an unprecedented undefeated regular season and to the Super Bowl. Randy Moss was all set to win his first Super Bowl ring and MVP award after scoring the supposed game-winning touchdown then Eli Manning and David Tyree foolishness happened and ruined a perfect season (The biggest heartbreak as a football fan). Randy Moss has had a 1,000-yard receiving season every year that he played a full season. Its no coincidence that Moss has been a member of two of the record-breaking highest scoring teams in NFL History (1st year with Vikings & Patriots). Randy Moss has left a huge mark on the game where all kids playing football in the streets all want to catch the deep ball and “Moss” (a leaping acrobatic catch over the defender) somebody in the end zone. Randy Moss is one of the greatest wide receivers ever and without question my favorite football player. So without farther ado, the newest inductee into the JerkishBehavior Hall of Fame is Randy Moss.
5 JerkishBehavior Moments
1.Randy Moss owns the NFL record for most receiving touchdowns in a season for a rookie and overall (17 and 23 TD’s respectively).
2.Randy Moss is the only player to have averaged at least one receiving touchdowns per game played in four different seasons, who does that?
3.At the 2000 Pro Bowl against the game’s best, Randy Moss won the MVP award for setting a Pro Bowl receiving record with 9 catches for 212 yards, WOW, JERK!!!

Mr. Shut It Down's World: My Philosophy On Shoes Pt. 1
Mr. Shut It Down's World: My Philosophy on Shoes Pt. 1
Hello world, today I, Mr. Shut It Down, will be discussing My Philosophy on Shoes. Shoes are my biggest vice, pleasure, addiction, expense, and joy in Mr. Shut It Down's world because you can never get or have enough shoes and I am ATF:Addicted To Fresh word to DJ Clark Kent. Most people who don't have a shoe addiction or fetish think buying endless amounts of shoes is pointless but those who have the same affliction as I, know shoes are far from pointless. Shoes are the usually the first thing women look at on a man, shoes always are a conversation starter, and shoes are a guaranteed way to get compliments or even crazier reactions like where the fuck did you those? Shoes are an incredible drug.
How did my shoe affliction begin? Growing up, my parents getting me shoes from Payless was always on the only option. As I got older and saw what the cool kids (the hustlers, dope boys, rich kids, & rappers), I wanted to rock the same name brand kicks as them. My parents and big sis obliged and got me some fresh Nikes (Pippen's and Penny's) which was like Christmas. These kicks were all-purpose where they were basketball, everyday, school, church, and special occasions all-in-one because if they lost, stolen, dirty, holes, or messed up then I was S.O.L. until next year (this is why I always keep my shoes clean). I didn't receive my first pair of Holy Grails aka a pair of Jordan's til I was 17 (fyi, Jordan XIII black/white were my first) which coincidentally was probably the last pair of shoes they ever bought me. Child cruelty right? I thought so but this lesson allowed me to appreciate, value and be thankful for things that people bought me plus my fam said you need to get a job cuz no one is going to keep buying you $100 pair of shoes. Hence, why when I got my first real job I was in the shoe every week copping a new pair and my parents couldn't tell me nothing word to Kanye. So don't blame me, blame my parents for giving me free reign to cop as many pair as my lil heart desires, thanks Mom!!!
So my philosophy on shoes is cop a pair, then cop some more, and always keep them clean because dirty sneakers ain't fresh.
In part two, I will discuss the college years and beyond aka my dorm room is a shoe store, so until next time....

1. "The Hangover" was the funniest movie of 2009 and one of the funniest since "Role Models" which makes it an instant classic and loved by many because there's no grey area with a comedy, it's either good or wack. "The Hangover" was great so that's why it earns JerkishBehavior's #1 movie of 2009, if you doubt it then you must a ruh-tard!!!
2. "Star Trek" was a prequel and new millenium version of the sci-fi classic and had people even myself who wasn't a fan, hype on seeing it and it disappoint. "Star Trek" was the truth and Spock was a G, "so live long and prosper."

4. "Angels & Demons" is the sequel to the movie adaptation of the novel "The Da Vinci Code" with this film being an overload of religion and science but had plenty of action and a non-typical ending which made it a very interesting and good film even for casual movie fans.
5. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" which is the solo film of the best X-Men there is in Wolverine which tells his whole backstory of how he got his claws while introducing several new mutants to the world. The action was top-notch and the story was just as good which makes it th best X-men movie by far.
